How do designers find their first job?

1. Alot of the Entry level/Junior Graphic Design job listings require that you have proficient knowledge and experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, sometimes After Effects and Lightroom as well 2. Most of these require you to have a bachelor's degree in graphic design, Others will accept just a certificate as well 3. You need 0-2 years of experience with any design field, Internships count towards the experience 4. All of the job listings require you to have the proper time management skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks at a time 5. Work shifts are usually 8 to 10 hours long, basically the same amount of time school lasts for 6. Salary is approximately $13.50 - 35 an hour or $11,870 - 306,600 a year

Logo Roughs

1-5. So, for these designs I thought of The Avocado Lair, this name just randomly came up in my mind, I tried to do sort of a crossword style logo for these. Sometimes I would even omit the "the" from the wordmark 6-8. Too Many Avocados, Yep, not much to say other than I usually stacked the 3 words on top of each other, sometimes with a line separating them. 9-10. Too Many Avocados as well, however this time I did a sort of "Diner" styled wordmark with the word "Avocados" being written vertically. 11-15. Avocado Design, I tried to incorporate the symbol itself which is the Avocado in this case. I'm quite satisfied with 11 and 13 and I might end up choosing one of these to do the digital roughs

This could or could not be my brand name

1. Emmanuel's Avocados  2. Too many Avocados 3. The avocado box 4. Emmanuel's Avocado Lair 5.  I don't know why all of these are related to Avocados I didn't really have any other ideas at the time. After all Avocados is just a play on my last name

Design Portfolio Research

  1. Craig Black. What attracts me is the Acrylic Art he does. and the way Craig used a basic White and Black theme and utilized the white space to the point where the website doesn't feel bland amazes me.  2. Marioly Maria Marie. I like the way she chose a palette of Baby Blue, and Pink and just stuck with it throughout the entire website  3. Jay Bin Lee. The way he formats his work on this 13 page PDF Booklet, utilizing each page to showcase different types of his work is what attracted me to stay and view every single one of them. 4. Lauren Hom Sweet Hom. Honestly i like the way Lauren named her portfolio website Hom Sweet Hom, also the font she used for it. I wonder what font it's called

Senior Year Accountability

In order to take accountability you need to: 1. Try to set a schedule/time log for yourself so that you can dedicate some time to doing your homework and then other things like workout, meditate or spend time on your phone 2. Acknowledge your weaknesses and try to set yourself a goal to overcome them and become a better you 3. If you ever feel stressed out, take a break, if needed you can talk to someone whether its a Guidance Counselor, a Teacher, your Parents or other Legal Guardian 4. Avoid Multi-Tasking, Multi-Tasking can overwhelm and make you "keel over". Try to finish the first task before moving on to another or dedicate some time for each 5. Avoid "doom-scrolling". Doom-scrolling on social media apps like Twitter/X, Instagram, Discord and Tik-Tok can overwhelm your brain with intrusive thoughts especially if its before your bedtime 6. Try to minimize distractions such as Phones, TV, or noises such as Music, even minor ones like the Heater, Air Conditioner, ...
