The Land That Feeds

In the Exhibit I learned about the methods many tribes back then would use to construct their houses. In Hawaii they would use Wood to build the structure and would use cords to support the structure. It reminds me of how the Japanese would use a technique called Joinery where they would connect 2 pieces of wood without any screws or nails. Just cut out the ends and slide them in together.

In the workshop building the house in a Desert environment was exciting, Me and my group were trying to figure out what the roof should be made out of whether we should use Popsicle sticks or woodchips, In the end we agreed on utilizing wood sticks instead and reserve the popsicle sticks for the doors. My only complaint would be the lack of Ventilation but other than that I'm satisfied with what me and my group could come up with.
